Spotlight: Mrs. Williams

Mrs. Williams could not be happier about working at Maple Dale Elementary as the new English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) teacher this year. Mrs. Williams earned her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from The Ohio State University and her Masters of Art in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Ohio Dominican University. Over the past ten years, Mrs. Williams has taught English to students of preschool age to adult from over 40 different countries. She herself speaks English and Spanish, but she always enjoys learning bits and pieces of other languages from her students and their parents. Outside of Maple Dale, Mrs. Williams loves to spend time with her friends and family. She goes horseback riding almost every weekend and competes in local horse shows during the summer. She is thrilled to be working in such a supportive and friendly community, and she wishes everyone a fantastic school year!
