PTO Presentation
Mandated State Assessments:
KEA (Fall, must be completed by November 30th) Assessment of early literacy, numeracy, and developmental skills.
AIR Reading and Math Assessments:
Online format.
Third Grade Reading--2 administrations, one in early December, one in May
Third Grade Math--1 administration, early May
Fourth Grade Reading, Math and Social Studies--1 administration each, in early May
Sycamore Diagnostic Assessments:
CoGAT (December administration)
Ability test given to all second grade students.
Ability testing for other students done at parent request.
MAP (Measures of Academic Progress)
Administered three times per year to all 1-4 students.
Data is used by teachers to customize instruction for each child.
Data is also used for gifted identification (achievement)
Notes:
- This is a drastic reduction of the testing calendar from the last academic year
- We will get the results from our testing last year in January. Parents will receive reports.
- Third Grade Guarantee is still in effect.
- We still teach using the Common Core State Standards as our guiding standards in Math and English Language Arts.
- PARCC tests are no longer being administered in Ohio. Ohio has contracted with the American Institutes of Research to develop tests in reading and math.
