One Book, One School
Our “kick-off” assembly for this fun event is on Tuesday, January12th at 3:00 in the Cafeteria. Students received a calendar of reading assignments yesterday. Books will be sent home with the oldest child in each family on Tuesday.
During the OBOS month, we will ask students to collect small change. “Change for Change” will be the theme. We will make a donation to the Gorilla Fund at the zoo. Students will present the proceeds check to the zoo personnel who come to the assembly on February 16th. Surprise Assembly Guest: a Cheetah!

Parent Survey
We are conducting a survey to collect data from our parents on issues that affect our school. This went out on BB Connect on Monday. So far, we have 100 responses! Super! We will leave this up until next Wednesday. We would like to announce some preliminary results at the PTO Meeting next week. PTO can feel free to post this in the blog as well. We will use the data collected to make some decisions in the future regarding our programming and practices.
New Playground Equipment
The children are really enjoying the wonderful new playground equipment on a daily basis!

After School Enrichment Assignments
Information was sent home with students in December for sign-up.
Ann Marie Reinke and Belinda Busemeyer will meet on Friday, January 8 to make the room assignments.
We are looking forward to this great opportunity for our kids!
